The Cast Iron Reseasoning Process: Step By Step
RUST AND SEASONING STRIPPING
We’ll break loose the rust, soap, and old seasoning from your cast iron pan or cookware to start afresh.
WASH TIME
After your cookware is de-gunked, we’ll wash everything off with a gentle soap and water to prepare it for re-seasoning.
HEATING UP
Once your cookware is stripped and washed, it will be heated in a super-hot oven so it’s ready for re-seasoning oil.
JUST ADD OIL… AND REPEAT
We’ll add a generous coating of high smoke point oil to the entire surface of your cookware and repeat as many time as needed so food slides right off of it.
Complete cast iron cookware restoration starts at $30 per piece.
